Sunday, November 17, 2019: A free Medical Health Check-up camp was organised at Samman Bhavan, Society of the Divine Word, E-6 Arera Colony, Bhopal by Asha Niketan Hospital and Mansarovar Dental College under the guidance of S. Susmita CSJ - Administrator Asha Niketan Hospital and Fr. S. James SVD - Director of Samman.

A team of five doctors, nurses, technicians, paramedical staff and volunteers rendered their services at this camp. Free Blood Pressure Check-up, Blood Sugar Check-up, BMI Check-up was carried out on the people to create awareness about diabetes and hypertension which is one of the most worrisome health issues prevalent in this region. The people were also offered free medicines besides the free follow-up visit later on at Asha Niketan Hospital. Patients can avail the follow-up check-ups for free in the next 30 days. Other free tests included ECG, serum uric acid, HBA1C and serum lipid profile.

On the occasion Fr. James SVD said, “As part of our social responsibility we would like to help the underprivelged with atleast 2-3 free health check-up camps a year, especially those who do not have easy access to health care as it is an expensive commodity.”

220 people with general medical conditions, diabetes, skin ailments, hypertension, gynaecological problems, dental conditions, orthopaedic conditions benefitted from this noble initiative.
Sr. Susmita expressed her gratitude to all the patients and the volunteers for the considerable response and the success of the camp.
